The one with the cutest baby...

So I am going to take this Sunday to brag a little bit.... As I was uploading pictures from the week I could help but notice how many awesome pictures I had of Coop and how handsome he is ( just like his daddy!). He has to be the cutest little kid EVER! I literally just stare at him. So I wanted to share with everyone that little one that Josh and I are so blessed with to get to be around everyday! His personality is just blossoming and as he is getting older, I see more and more of Josh in him. It's incredible! Where are my genes? I guess I was just more of the incubator ;)

We had another great weekend hanging out with friends on the beach, the Lake Lanier beach, that is. If you remember, these are just as good as Florida beaches.... ALMOST! It's nice to be in the sun and exposing Cooper to the outdoors. He still doesn't like the water, only because it's still freezing. I don't want to get in, so I don't blame him for yanking his little tosies out of the water when I stick them in.

We had bonfire last night. This has been a hobby of ours since we moved in. We made a fire pit with the rocks from the stream behind the house. It turned out pretty professional! Anyway, we also did smores, I totally felt like a kid again! They were delicious!

... and here we are again, Sunday Funday! The weekends go by so fast!, uhhhhhh!!!  We've been watching DYI basement rennovations on HGTV all morning to get ideas for our own basement. It has given us inspiration to start working on ours again. We haven't done anything since Grandpa Butch was here. So, we are going to start building the bars this afternoon. Hopefully you won't see us on the DYI Disaster show!

Have a great week!

The one with PCB...

The McCarty's doin what we do best!
You know you're not from Georgia when you haven't been to Panama City Beach on Vacation! Josh and I must have been the only couple out of 7 that has not vacationed in Panama City Beach. I think it's a Georgia thing... so maybe now you can officially call us Georgia residents! But I've got to tell ya, it's one heck of a place. It is gorgeous. The water is blue and the sand is soft and white and there is plenty of fresh seafood! We had a great time. A nice getaway with no agenda, other than drinking beer, jamin to music and bronzin'.

The view from our condo
This is most of the group. We had to claim our spot every morning, which wasn't hard because the beach wasn't crowded, even on the weekend. There are absolutely no signs of the oil spill, so I am surprised there weren't more people.  As you can see, we are still in recovery mode....

Below is a picture of my Georgia blondes at the Boatyard! Boatyard is a super nice restaurant that seated us outside in front of the huge yachts that are docked. Amazing views and food! Everyone passed their entrees around to share. I didn't... I ordered crab legs and I am stingy when it comes to those!! So much work for nothin!

We want to make a vacation like this annual. Next year lets cruise!

The one with Allie and Mike's wedding...

Hello All! What a great weekend we had! I had not had that much fun in a while. Josh and I took another road trip down to Orlando this past weekend, my old stomping grounds, to be apart of Allie and Mike's special day. Cooper stayed with Grandma Karen for a night and my parents took the trip down with us. It was at an old Spanish home outside and it couldn't have been better weather.  It was perfect. The wedding was beautiful, the food was delicious and the wine was strong! We enjoyed some beers by the pool before the wedding, relaxing in the sun, which now looking back wasn't such a good idea. The beer, not the sun. I can't day drink anymore. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the bars after the wedding as planned.

My beautiful family
It was also my first mothers day! Joshua and Cooper gave me a Pandora bracelet. This is something that I have been wanting since I met Josh.... so for a long time now. AND I finally got one! For those who don't know it is basically just a really really nice charm bracelet. On the way back from Orlando we stopped in Jax to have Mothers Day lunch with both mommas and my grandparents.... and we had to pick up lil Coop man. It was a special day and to spend it with the family really meant a lot! And since we were on the road driving back to Atlanta, we stopped somewhere really fancy to eat Mothers Day dinner.... wait for it.... ZAXBY'S! And we weren't the only family in there :)

Cooper had is 6 month check up today. The little chunkster is 17.8 pounds and 27 inches long. Which means he is in the 50th percentile in both. Basically it is a good thing he isn't shorter or the doctor may have ordered us to put him on a diet. Cooper is strong and healthy, and growing like a weed. He was supposed to get his 6 month shots, but the doctor said he had a red throat and didn't want to do it. So I have to go back again in 10 days to get his shots. I swear I spend more time at the doctor for this kid.... I hear it only gets better :)

The blog wouldn't be complete without a picture of the Chunky Monkey
We are headed to Panama City Beach Thursday with friends from Atlanta! Another road trip here we come, thank God for the Prius!

The week with no husband....

Hump Day is almost over and I am only a few hours away from seeing Josh. Distance really makes the heart grow fonder. Thank goodness he comes home tomorrow! I know we haven't seen each other since Sunday but it feels like I am reliving the Pittsburgh experience all over!

You've probably been wondering what I have been doing... and that is NOTHING. I've cleaned and done laundry, all the fun chores. So I'm ready for company, anyone want to visit? I'm lame without Josh. I'm bored and my butt is permanently imprinted in the couch. AND I am so excited that he comes home tomorrow. I don't even have any pictures to post, that's how lazy I have been. I definitely will have some after the weekend. We are heading to Orlando for Allie Stevens wedding and Cooper is staying with Grandma Karen. So hopefully I have some internet appropriate pictures to post. We don't get out much anymore :)

 Love y'all!

The one with the Georgia beaches

Happy Sunday everyone! It's just me and Coop for the majority of the week. Josh took of this morning to Kentucky for a pulp and paper conference until Thursday. So it's just me and the babes. I'm actually getting a lot accomplished surprisingly. I thought I would be lazy all day watching the recap of the royal wedding for the 5th time. But it is too nice outside... so I enjoyed the morning in the yard while Cooper took his nap. I tell ya, being home owners there is always something to do, always. And I know in the beginning I was resistant to pulling weeds, but I think it is becoming a new hobby... yuck! Does that mean I am getting old!?!?!! Cooper has some serious teeth coming in so he is cranky and snotty. I didn't know he had so much room up in his nose for all that mess. AND he is almost crawling! Cooper can get up on all fours. Right now he just rocks back and forth, it won't be long now before he is mobile. Baby proofing here we come!!

Yesterday we made our way to the beach! Well the lake beach. The guard at the park gate said these beaches are comparable to Florida. HA! We laughed thinking yea right. It was definitely nice and such a gorgeous day but it doesn't come close to the Florida beaches. We are trying to expose Cooper to the outdoors as much as possible so he loves it when he is older. I don't want him to be one of those kids that are glued to the TV and video games. But anyway, the lake is only 5 minutes down the road so its perfect for family and friends.... and you can drink beer there! Always a plus when you are married to Josh! With that said I'll leave you with some pictures from the week, enjoy.

Peace and Love
